Zobler's Deli, London
The Venue
Impressive. It’s nestled within the Ned Hotel in the Bank district of London, along with a few other good looking restaurants and bars—right to your left when you enter the grand atrium on Poultry. Counter-seating on the great marble counter is the way to go. Best on a weekend, because it can be overrun with business people from the area during the weekdays (for breakfast/lunch/drinks). Good option for a tasty brunch, but might be a bit out of the way if you’re planning to tourist around in London afterwards.

Deviled Eggs
Not memorable, but not bad either. Unless you’re a big fan of deviled eggs, it might be a better idea to use your egg credits some other way.
Main Courses
French Toast
A giant slab of brioche-like bread, smothered with a balanced syrup, topped with shaved and toasted hazelnuts, a dollop of cream (can’t remember if it was ice cream), dusted with powdered sugar—might have had caramelized bananas underneath the cream too. Was gone in no time. Very solid.
Reuben on Rye Bread
The bread has all the good characteristics of sourdough bread—could have been a bit more rye-y and perhaps a bit gentler to the roof of your mouth, but it’s a price we pay for good bread. It also has a nice golden color—well-toasted. The cheese was nicely melted all the way through the sandwich and the corned beef was juicy without soggying up the bread. The gherkin on the side is juicy and pretty much the real deal. Great to share!
The Drinks
Brunch Cocktails
Bloody Mary
Well-balanced, but not memorable (no bells and whistles).
